How are Events advertised

Via the OCA Lounge (Private members group) and circulated to the membership via Email

Posted on the Regional Group’s own Facebook Group and if spaces become available shared with wider membership via OCA Lounge

Who are they aimed at?

Events are open nationally to paid up members

Events are aimed at local paddlers or those near or visiting the area

Can a non-member join

If spaces allow trips will be opened up to non-members at a non-discounted rate

Absolutely, prospective members are welcome to join and are typically allowed to attend 3 events as a non-OCA member

What is the typical duration of events

Most tend to be weekend or multi-day trips but some are day trips

Events tend to be shorter duration e.g., half-day or full day

Will I need to stay overnight for any trips

Yes events may require overnight accommodation which is often booked along with the event but some you may have to arrange your own accommodation

Unlikely to require any overnight accommodation, but there will always be exceptions

How do I book onto an event

Events need to be booked via WebCollect and may require a cost

Events arranged via the Facebook Group with some requiring booking via WebCollect
