BOOK HERE In response to OCA member requests for a long-term moderate water development programme, we are pleased to announce a pilot project with Armada Canoe Coaching.
Armada Canoe Coaching is a new and exciting project by Adie Molloy who has been paddling canoes of all shapes and sizes for the last 14 years. Adie has worked as a canoe guide and coach throughout the UK and France including working as a trainer for PGL.
Adie feels most at home in a canoe and loves sharing his passion with others whether it’s improving Traditional Canoe skills or introducing folk to specialist WW OC1’s.
We would like to offer members the opportunity to take part in a series of long term coaching sessions working towards competence in moderate water environments.
These coaching sessions will be run over 1 weekend a month for a minimum of 6 months. We will be focusing on the skills and confidence needed to take part in British Canoeing courses in moderate & advanced water environments.
All British Canoeing courses will be provided by Chris Brain and Chris will also have involvement in the development sessions where necessary.
1st & 2nd December
5th & 6th January
2nd & 3rd February
9th & 10th March
6th & 7th April
Venues will vary depending on ability, aspirations and river levels but we will definitely take advantage of the great options in North Wales and Lake District. All venues will be discussed and agreed with the group before the event.
Prices for coaching and guiding will be £80 per month/ weekend per candidate. This does not include any access fees that may be required and you must provide your own equipment. You will be required to commit to all six courses at the point of booking (£480 in total)
